The game tonight is cancelled

Peter Suddeth and Zack Ketchum both scored two goals, and Grant Cape added another, as the Blue Devils defeated LaGrange by a score of 5 - 1 at Woodruff Farms Friday Night. 

Assists:  Stephen Anderson (2) and Logan Mayes (1).  Goal Keeper Greg Bingham had 4 saves.

Nathan Harrison and Matt Majestic notched hat tricks while Carver never forced Columbus goalie Greg Bingham to make a save.

Goals:  Nathan Harrison 3, Matt Majestic 3, Grant Cape 2, Chase Braxton, Stephen Anderson.

Columbus took the field against the AAA 10^th ranked Cairo on Saturday, with the Blue Devils beating the Syrupmakers by the score of 7 – 1.

The defense, anchored by Joel Oliver, David Tolle, Logan Mayes, Richard Knight, and Keeper Greg Bingham, prevented any goals during the run of play.  The Syrupmakers only goal came on a penalty kick.

The offense was also clicking, with goals by Stephen Anderson (2), Zack Ketchum (2), Grant Cape, and Peter Suddeth (2).  Assists go to Peter Suddeth (2), Stephen Anderson, Paul Anderson, and Matt Majestic. 

The Blue Devils put one in the “W” column Friday night at Woodruff Farms, prevailing over the Lee County Trojans by a score of 4 to 1.

In the 29^th minute, Zach Ketchum scooped up a loose ball in the box and found net to put the Devils ahead 1 – 0.  5 minutes later, Grant Cape scored on an assist from Paul Anderson.  Then in the 38^th minute, Peter Suddeth scored on an assist from Matt Majestic as Columbus took a 3 – 0 lead at half time.

Thirty-three minutes into the second half, defender Joel Oliver scored on an assist from Richard Knight.  A few minutes before the match ended, Lee County was able to pull one back, for a final score of 4 – 1.
